Lemon Bread

Ok so last night I made lemon bread, my dad brought them to church for me
today, because my shoulders were hurting today.  Mom said that they were gone
like that (SNAPs fingers) and thats a quote.
I believe I am getting better with stirring left handed! (Smiles) I personally loved the lemon
bread, but I guess my vote doesn't really count, although it could because like most people
I am my own worse enemy (smiley).
I forgot to buy a lemon and I didn't have any confectioner's sugar, so here is what I did,
I left out the lemon peel, woopsie, and using the magic bullet that my parents own, I blended
some sugar and er go, confectioner's sugar, I think. The sauce was confectioner's sugar and lemon
juice, and when you put it on the bread and let it cool it makes it a little hard and very nummy!

Triple Chocolate Brownie cookies

Ok so today was the connection group night for college age
young women.  I met some wonderful ladies and we all talked about
awsome stuff and the book that we would be reading.
I am sooo excited for this group!!!! :]
But I made Triple Chocolate Brownie cookies tonight, and every one said that they
were good and great and wonderful.  One of the leaders asked me to bring stuff on thursdays, and that
is soo going to happen.  They do taste good, not to sweet but just sweet enough. I am teaching myself to
be re-ambadextrous so my left side won't be smaller than the right lol...
Well Enjoy!

Hot Milk Cake

So I finnished the check list, and
am so excited so now I don't have to
do all the recipes in order...

But now... So I made hot milk cake, all I have to
say is OH MY GOSH!!! I love it.... a verry simple and short
recipe bake time veries though, it says 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes
but I had to add on about another 35 ish minutes, and turn the heat up to
365 degrees.

The cake is rich enough that you really don't
need any frosting.  And the dough is yummy enough
that you can just suck the dough down too...
Well I hope you enjoy!

Apologies

I am sorry I haven't been on much, I have been making a check list
of my baking cookbook so that I will know which ones I have done already
and then can go out of order, and making a check list of 7 hundred some odd
recipes; I am still not done yet actually

Apricot Almond Blondies

So I think it is really going to be two and haf years, because when I get home from work I am just so tired!  So I can't really cook while I am asleep, so I think I am going to make it 2.5 years.
Last night I made Apricot Amlond Blodies, and they are great! Even my dad thinks so.  He has this way of saying it without actually saying but totally saying it, if that makes any sense at all? Last night it was, "I am still deciding on whether or not they are good, why don't you bring me about eight more to help me decide." hahaha, when the timer went off I went over to the oven and a couple seconds later dad rushed in and started looking all over the counters.  He was searching for the cookies that had needed to stay in a little while longer...
There is such a pretty view from my window right now, about four inches of snow all over the place! And just down the street the trees are a little foggy, and then there are grey clouds in the sky with all the pretty blue. I just finnished watching One Night with the King, and I am now watching Charmed.

Coconut Cookies... day: 4/821

Mom was making fun of me today :] in one of those goofy mom ways.  I was mixing my coconut cookie dough, I am a little OCD about mixing the stuff I make by hand, and she was teasing me because I am mostly right handed, I stir with my right hand and she said what is like when you do something that will make one of your arms larger than your right, I teased her back and made her stir a little too.
In a family that doesn't really like coconut, they are great!  I don't even really like coconut, personally the dough is better than actual cookie, but hey :] they're still good cookies :]
I learned something new today!  1 cup of Crisco plus 6 tablespoons of water is equal to 1 cup of butter. :]

I am dreading the icebox cookies, last time I tried making them I forgot them in the fridge, and they got ruined, I also left out the nuts that needed to go in, it just wasn't right from the beginning so... anyways I have more cookies coming out of the oven! :]

Coconut Cookies

ok... so, like I said last night, I think I said it last nigt anyways, I LOOOVVVEEEE those meringue cookies and well I was popping them in my mouth almost as fast as they were coming out of the oven, my favorite one was the lemon, but I ate them too fast and too many. I ate myself sick, so coconut cookies are for tomorrow.

day 2 out of 821

So last night I couldn't sleep very well, I kept thinking of these merangue cookies.  My friend's mom makes them and my friend showed me how to make it.  It is basically seriously whipped egg whites with lots of sugar... but I added a little twist. I added about 1/4 of a teaspoon of extract to it I did vanilla extract, almond extract, cocnut extract, banana extract, and lemon extract.  So far my favorite is the lemon!  They taste like little balls of cotton candy! So they are great for kids and anyone who has an insane sweet tooth :] I have them in the oven at 200oF untill they are crunchy.
One thing that I really don't like about these cookies is that if you do it by hand, it takes forever, but you get a great work out!!! :] LoL, but while I bake one thing that I love to do is watch tv shows on Netflix, right now I am watching season one of Nikita with my mom.

Tomorrow it is coconut cookies :] me and my family loved the lemon cookies, they are still very soft and moist! :] So we are all looking forward to tomorrow :] I'll let you know how they go ;]

Lemon Drop Cookies

Ok, so since none of these recipes are mine, they're copy righted, so I will not be putting them on this blog.
So tonight is friday which in this house means..... MOVIE NIGHT!!!
We go to Northern Lights Theater and Pub, an amazing little theater that shows movies for only $3.00 : ) War Horse is an amazing movie...

So I had dinner of Chicken and Bacon Grinder basically good stuff on a toasted hogie roll lol LOTS of cheese.  Then I made Blue Mac-N-Cheese, best recipe ever! : )

But onto the reason for this Blog : ) The Lemon drop cookies : ) since I couldn't find
any lemon drops I used Lemon Heads... still delicouse I love baking, it makes me calm and since I am starting a new job I need that : )  it feels so good to be baking.  They just got out of the oven and they are simply lemony and great. "Oh my gosh! They are like lemon head heaven" my mom said as soon as she swallowed and my dad was totally and completely speechless, said I should give some to the parents I am going to nanny for.

Keep in mind this is the first time I have blogged.  And since 2.5 years is 912.5 days, and there are only 780 recipes it will be 2.25 years really so it is 821 days baically for sick days and days I am just too exhausted to move... so wish me luck!!!

If you want the recipes I use on this blog go to tasteofhome.com or a store neer you that sells books/cookbooks.
